Too many people have suggested I do this on social media.
For a long time, I said no, because:
- I don’t want to get people addicted to social media.
- I don’t like to be on social media myself.
- I assumed I would never get a following on social media.
- It’s a lot of work to manage social media.
But I think that ship has sailed.
I think a video format works a lot better for this kind of thing:
- It’s easier to see and hear people’s answers than me remembering them.
- Everyone’s already on social media.
- Nobody reads blogs.
- It’s already a lot of work to maintain a blog website.
- I’m getting so burnt out running this website.
- I still have writers block, and I’m living entirely off book royalties, which are just enough to live off of, so I need an alternate way to make money.
So, I’m looking for help making videos.
What I need specifically:
- Someone to manage the Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube pages.
- Someone to record videos.
It’s a long shot, I know. I doubt anyone will want to do any of these.
But, if anyone does want to, I will split the profits with them. Specifically, TikTok and YouTube pay for views, and Instagram can point people to those.
I’m still on the fence as to whether this is ethical. I still don’t like social media and don’t want to feed people’s addictions.
So I’ll just leave it in God’s hands. If it works, and I find someone to do this with, then fine. If not, also fine.
