I was quite surprised how few people were tested. Some people brought up that it’s too expensive. One person said California law can hold it against you with certain restrictions if you’re tested positive.
Many people who put Likely said they either have or may have ADHD. One said there are too many misdiagnoses.
One relatively normal looking young man put Likely and said “I just ran 26 miles, something must be wrong with me.” For context, he just finished the Chicago Marathon.
One very flamboyant homosexual man said Likely explaining that he tries to sleep with everyone he meets.
Several people said it’s a spectrum, so therefore we must all be on it.
My thoughts
There were a good number of “normal” looking people, who merely looked at the survey and didn’t participate. But considering how many people put Likely for themselves, yet looked and talked absolutely normal in every way, I’m not sure that all the non-participants would put Doubtful. So I think it’s safe to say these results are representative.
It seems very odd that half of all answers were Likely, more than twice as many as put doubtful for themselves. Is it really likely that most people have autism?
